I crept on through the night, with the wind chilling me through my fur and my paws numb. The cat in the distance was closer than before, but still a fields length away. Changing my course so I was following from behind the cat I stumbled upon a small rock wall. I turned around and studied the wall, puzzled. The light of day streaked through the clouds casting a beautiful orange and pink scenery. I turned around again and noticed I wasn't standing in green grassy fields, the wall seemed to give away into a big wild flower field with golden grass. With each step I took I couldn't shake off the feeling that I had been there before. The flower's were all colorful and none wilted. I rose my head and studied the cat I had been following. It had stopped, dead in the middle of the flower fields. Taking my chance, I began to run towards it. I knew that since the cat was so far off I wouldn't be able to get close enough. Once I was tired out my pace fell into a walk, but at least I was a lot closer. The flower fields seemed to stretch forever. I was walking for hours, never getting close enough to the cat. But then night fell, and for the first time on my journey the cat went to sleep. Relief sparked inside me as I trotted forward to the sleeping cat. It took a while but I finally got there. A small bump in the ground separated me and the cat. I couldn't see it but began to creep over the little hill. I had just reached the top when a figure jumped up in front of me. I gasped and it gasped back. I thought I was looking at my reflection. This cat was all black but with grey (stripes)on its tail, chest, and paws. We just stared at each other in pure awe, stunned. Finally the cat spoke, "Who are you?" It breathed in shock. "I-I'm Stone," I said rather shaken, "Who are you?" The cat, who was a tom, studied me for a second. I noticed his eyes were the flaming orange like Ashflame's, and froze. "My name is Thunder." He replied. My jaw dropped open. The whole world seemed to freeze, but I made it spin again by whispering, "Dad?"
I got up and quickly jumped down from the den. My feet felt heavy, like I was about to make the biggest decision of my life. I hopped over the river and walked to the sunning rocks. My luck seemed to help me by making Angelstar be leading a patrol my the rocks. I pretended like I was drying out in the sun. Angelstar saw me and told her patrol to go ahead without her. I stood up and walked towards her. She was smiling. That isn't going to last long, I thought as she stopped in front of me. "Hi Ashflame!" She happily greeted me. "Angelstar, we need to talk." I told her with seriousness strong in my voice. Her smile fell, like I had predicted. "W-what about?" She wearily asked. I took a deep breath, wondering if this was the right thing to do. "I had a sign...from starclan. The cat said we cannot be together, and I agree." Angelstar's face was gaped open in horror. "You see Angelstar, we are from different clans and by doing this we are breaking the warrior code." I would have gone on but Angelstar spat in disbelief. "Who is this cat you talked to? Who do they think they are telling us how to live our lives? We have to be together! I don't care what they say its breaking the code, the code has been broken so many times!" My eyes glared a powerful glare that I does with my orange eyes, "Now you listen here Angelstar," I began angrily, "This cat is one of the most powerful cats in the universe. And sure the code has been broken by other cats but if those cats ran in front of a monster would you go too? You are a leader Angelstar! You have nine lives because you were honored by starclan! You took their respect and threw it away. A leader should never break the code! Shimmerstar was the best leader these clans have had in long time! She never dissed a starclan warrior! She never broke the code! She always put her clan first! That is how she earned her nine lives. You are not worthy. We cannot be together and that is final!" Angelstar shook with rage, her hazel eyes so dark almost black. "Ashflame!" She roared, "What do you think you are doing? Accusing me of being a bad leader? Since when did this argument lead to comparing me to that mouse brain leader? Starclan is weak! They can't do anything about me being a bad leader. Only a fool believes they are powerful! All those great powerful cats clans worship are lies! Riverclan is too dumb to realize they don't need to rely on starclan for everything! Shadowclan thinks starclan will be there for them, but they are believing in nothing! As for Windclan, they are foolish scumbags! They talk of their warrior ancestors as gods, believing everything they hear. I don't care what starclan says!" She finished and my eyes widened. I knew what was going to happen, but Angelstar didn't. "Do you realize what you have done!" I yelled at her but it was too late, a storm rolled in and four flashes of jagged lightning touched the ground. Next thing I know we were surrounded by cats, powerful cats. I stood frozen in the center, my eyes flickering from one cat to the next. I felt honored to be near these cats. Angelstar looked around too, wide eyed. "Angelstar!" Whitestar boomed, he was the one in front of her. "You have disrespected starclan!" His voice shook me to the core. Angelstar said nothing. The next cat spoke, "Why did you begin yelling lies? These clans are full of good cats who believe in us, so why say things that aren't true?" Timeflyer told her, his normal cool voice shaking. Whitestar beckoned Ashflame to stand by him and he obeyed. "Angelstar!" Blarfy called, "You have hurt the clans feelings dear! You know, this make us very angry!" His voice sounded like he was talking dumbly to a kit, "Why, you look rather tasty on this fine day! I haven't had my breakfast, so be a peach and come a little closer?" I looked at his green pelt and saw him twitch his insane eyes. Then I heard a voice I thought I would never hear again, "You have broken your promises that starclan gave you Angelstar." Shimmerstar sternly told her, "These clans are right to believe in us. Ashflame is right, you are not worthy. All clans are strong, and you have accused them of being weak. No matter how strong you think you are, or how bold you act, you a truly the weakest coward I have ever met. So you better get your rump out of this place before we do it for you." Angelstar was helpless, she seemed like a small frightened kit. She took one step and then Whitestar said, "Oh no you don't, there is still one cat you have to talk to." He shared a smile with the rest of the cats. Then a humungous lightning strike came and there stood Stripestar, shaking his head at Angelstar. He walked towards her and she cowered down. "You little missy, have messed up. I would have let you go on all day talking about starclan in a bad way or how the other clans are dumb, but then you crossed the line." He was walking around her in a circle, "The words that came out of your mouth made me freeze. You can badmouth Starclan, you can badmouth Riverclan, you can badmouth Shadowclan, but you can NEVER badmouth Windclan. Windclan is a swift and loyal clan. You dare disrespect them? I protect that clan with my life! Well, lives actually." He added, "You think you can walk all over these clans with your words of pity? Well think again Angelstar! I could kill you with the flick of my tail. One little poke can scar you for life. So tell me Angelstar, do you still think starclan isn't powerful?" Angelstar gulped and shook her head violently. The five cats smiled at each other while I just stood there in awe. Just at that moment Ashia came in next to the Mud Dog.
I saw that Ashflame didn't come to us and got worried. The Mud Dog and I decided to go looking for him. We eventually heard the rumbles of thunder and flashes of lightning. The Mud Dog insisted we go look, since he knew that five powerful cats were there. We got there and saw Whitestar, Timeflyer, Blarfy, Shimmerstar, and Stripestar. They all turned to look at us. Stripestar automatically smiled and gleefully said, "Mud Dog!" The Mud Dog laughed and began to talk with him. All of the cats were talking and sharing thoughts getting caught up on everyone's lives. I was informed about the whole situation and turned to see Angelstar creeping away. "Oh no you don't!" I hollered and got their attention. Angelstar hung her head as Shimmerstar yelled, "Get outta here you rat!" Angelstar scurried off. "By the way, you are now Angelfur! No longer a leader!" They all laughed and Angelfur cried away. "Seems like quite the party around here." I commented to Whitestar. Whitestar smiled, "Yeah, we all are good friends. But sadly we will be having to go back." I frowned but nodded my head, meeting cats like these was the experience of a lifetime. The Mud Dog and I said our goodbyes and watched as the powerful cats zapped out of there. Ashflame stood there frozen in shock. I chuckled then told him to come back with us and he just dipped his head. He was silent the whole way home. I knew he was under a lot of stress, losing Angelfur, meeting cats that were out of this world, and watching as they all talked and laughed. I thought about Stone, I wondered where he was. I hoped he would be ok. Just to end this, I have to say it was a crazily wild day, for all of us.
